While I’ve been struggling with my weight for a long time, and I started going to the gym consistently in August, I’ve decided to make the official start to my weight loss journey October 24th. This is the first full day that I was on medication, and the first time in years where I had begun to feel in control of my emotions, my eating, and my body. So how much has changed in five weeks?
Unfortunately, I didn’t take any measurements, but I weighed 158 lbs (72 kg) at the time and as of this morning I weigh 146 lbs! (66 kg). I’ve lost 12 lbs!
Going forward I’ll actually taking measurements, so as of today this is where I’m at.
Bicep – 28 cm / 11″
Bust – 99 cm / 39″
Waist – 84 cm / 33″
Hip – 105 cm / 41″
Thigh – 52 cm / 20″
And oh… *cringe* this is a rarity. A completely unedited, not even sucking it in, waistband folded down and shirt tucked up before picture. I promise you won’t have to see this again. (that’s a lie, it will be at the bottom of all my progress posts)
Today I didn’t have my gym clothes with me because I had plans and needed to leave work early. Unfortunately, that means my jeans probably don’t give the most accurate visual of my progress, but I hope you can still see that it’s pretty significant! I’m actually happy with the way this is going. While I don’t notice huge changes day by day, having the photos to reference really reminds me that I am making progress and not to give up!
