Things I Can’t Wait to Wear

I’ve never been totally okay with the way my body looked. Even early in high school, when I was at my smallest, I was pretty depressed and I had a lot of body image issues. As I got older, I got bigger and bigger, and because of that, there are a lot of things that I either wouldn’t wear because I was self-conscious or couldn’t wear because I simply couldn’t pull off the look. Now that I’m well into my weight loss, and I am fairly confident that I will, in fact, lose all the weight that I want to, here is a taste of some of the things that I can’t wait to wear and look great in!

#1 should come as no surprise, but it’s a bikini. But not just any bikini, I want to feel confident rocking a teeny tiny, super cheeky bikini, even if it’s only just once. I have worn plenty of bikinis but I just never felt great in them. While I was always happy with my boobs, literally everything else that I didn’t like was exposed as well. I literally haven’t looked for swimsuits in a really long time, so I’m not exactly sure what I will be buying this summer, but I’d love to wear something like this one from TeenyB.

My legs have always been my least problematic area. Even at my largest, my thighs were reasonably small in comparison to the rest of my body, but they’re still really jiggly and covered in cellulite. I’m also hoping to start laser hair removal on my thighs soon because I get a lot of redness and irritation from ingrown hairs and keratosis pilaris. These two options are both from Asos.com, and are on the dressier side of what I’m excited to wear, but they are fun nonetheless. I’d be equally happy with a schoolgirl skirt and long socks or a casual flippy skater skirt.

armani-dress#3 the Armani dress that I’ve had for years. When I gained weight, I gained it everywhere, and this dress doesn’t even come close to closing around my ribcage. I only wore the dress once for my birthday, and I’m actually pretty sad that it hasn’t been an option for such a long time. While I won’t be able to wear it for my next birthday (it’s  only two weeks away!) can’t wait until it does fit and I’ll rock it at the first event that I can!

my ‘Mexico’ jeans. I got these when I first moved to Mexico City, and they were great. I loved them. They’re not even really my style anymore. They’re super ripped and they sit really, really low on the hips, but that was one of the last times where I was even close to being at a good weight. Even then, I struggled to get them on (I always bought my pants too small), and I’d love to see them fit me properly.Mexico Jeans

It sounds like I just want to dress over the top sexy! That’s not really it. I’m actually for the most part fairly conservative. I guess it’s just a build up of desires because I never really felt like I could before and I need to get it all out of my system!

If you’re losing weight, what are you most excited to wear? Or if you’re just waiting for summer or an event, I’d still love to know. Leave me a comment!

Kriss
