In my most recent Sephora Haul, I picked up a sample size of the new Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Highlighter in Stunner. I recently smashed my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector, so I wanted to try something new. I still love the Becca highlighter, but so far I think I prefer the Tarte highlighter just a bit.
Always check the Beauty Deals page when purchasing from Sephora online. The sample size was free with my order, but it can be purchased from Sephora for $35 CAD.
I’ve been a fan of the Tarte blushes since January when I received my birthday gift. The colour Paaarty has become my official everyday colour; I will definitely be purchasing the full size soon. So when I saw the chance to try out the highlighter for free, you had better bet that I was all over it.
This highlighter has a more solid consistency than what I’m used to, and that’s a good thing. Where the Becca highlighters feel soft and fragile, the Tarte Highlighter has all the colour payoff without feeling breakable. The colour itself is beautiful. I like my highlighters to have a bit of colour to them, but too much colour doesn’t look great on my fair skin.
The colour itself is beautiful. I like my highlighters to have a bit of colour to them, but too much colour doesn’t look great on my fair skin. This highlighter is a perfect combination of pale pink with a combination of both gold and silver opalescence. It’s beautiful as a facial highlighter, but also as an eyeshadow and an inner corner highlight. I am excited to go in and swatch the other two shades. I may even pick another one up in the near future. If you’ve seen any of the three shades, which are your favourites?
Have you tried any of the new Tarte Highlighters? Or any other pretty highlighters that work beautifully on fair skin! I’d love to hear your recommendations! Leave me a message in the comments or tag me on social media!
