A while back I made a purchase from Wishtrend to try out some new skincare. I am pleased to say that I have loved literally everything I purchased. While I made the order specifically for the skin care, I couldn’t not pick up a new cushion foundation. While I’m still loving my banila co and Clio cushions, they’re a bit on the expensive side, and neither of them was exactly what I wanted, so… I also purchased the Klairs Mochi BB cushion for $26.90 USD. This cushion is moderately priced but has a very inexpensive refill system, if you decide to continue using the product. Overall, Klairs is also a very safe bet for most people with sensitive skin, they use no colourants, alcohol, parabens or artificial fragrances, and they are cruelty-free.

The Mochi BB Cushion has an apricot-beige tone That complements both yellow and red skin in a natural way. It neutralizes the redness of the skin for a comfortable and healthy look While color-correcting and brightening dull, discolored skin tone.
I honestly don’t think I can say enough good thing about the packaging here. Not only is it absolutely adorable with the cute little face printed on top, it’s also designed really well to keep the product in the best condition possible. In order to access the foundation, you have to give the lid a quarter turn. It just feels more secure this way.
Also, this product has an amazing refill system. You get two new sponges, two packets of foundation and two new air puffs. This means that you can wash out your compact, and the waste is pretty minimal.
For a BB cushion, the coverage is actually pretty good. There are a couple of different ways to “adjust” the way that the coverage works. This means that the coverage can range all the way from a lighter, more hydrating coverage, to a much fuller matte coverage by simply flipping the cushion after you first open the product. This effect is also possible to achieve by layering the foundation as you apply it. A light application will give you a lovely light coverage with a semi-matte finish, and if you go back in and build it up, you can achieve a nice medium coverage with a smooth matte finish.
The wear on this product is pretty good. Because of the matte finish, it does dry a little bit powdery if it’s applied on bare skin, especially if you have dry skin like me. Layered over my skincare and a nice primer, though, it has a natural matte finish that lasts quite well.
The only real “problem” I have with this product is the lack of options. There’s literally only one. While it does get some bonus points for being a really good “universal” colour, it would still be really nice if there were a couple of different options, especially for darker girls.
While the price for the compact is very average, I still feel like it’s a good deal for the product you get. Where this cushion really shines, though, is with its refill system. You can purchase a refill kit for $9.00, and it comes with the sponges, the puffs and the product for two complete refills. That’s less than $5.00 for what is essentially a brand new compact.
The Klairs Mochi BB Cushion is a great cushion for a great price, and I can not say enough about the refill system. I am a fan of many Klairs products, and this one is no exception. I love how gentle the product is, while still doing an excellent job.
